Snowfolk - $28 each These are my first snowfolk of the year! It's been in the upper 90s here, so anything I can do to feel cooler ... including making snowmen ... is a welcome relief! These primitive snowmen are all made from a vintage flannel sheet. I've given each one a vintage square nail for a nose and they have embroidered eyes and a cross-stitched mouth (I can do their mouths in black upon request, at the moment they're tea-dyed cotton string). Each of these snowfolk have vintage buttons down their front and they're holding preserved Sweet Annie. Frosty is also holding a small tree, Scotty is holding a chenille candy cane, Fannie is holding a small American flag that I've hand-painted, and Sami is holding a stocking made from vintage feather ticking and a Sweet Annie "Christmas tree" with a rusty star atop! Each of these primitive snowmen (and snowwomen!) is 11" tall, making them just the right size to tuck in a cupboard!

Santa Andy - $65 I've decided to name each of my Santa dolls this year! This is the first Santa I've made in 2008, and his name is Andy. He's got his arms open wide to welcome you into his wintry world! I've made him from an antique blue & white quilt top and vintage feather ticking. He's got a hand-drawn sepia-tone face and real sheep's wool for his beard, mustache, and hair. His mittens & boots are booth painted coal black, and he's nice'n'grubby ... just the way you like them! This 25" doll has a hanging loop on his back.

Santa Bradley - $68 This is the second Santa I've made this year, and I've named him Bradley. If you notice some resemblance between Bradley and Andy, it's because they're brothers! He's made from an antique blue & white quilt and vintage feather ticking. Like his brother, he also has a hand-drawn sepia-tone face and real sheep's wool for his beard, mustache, and hair. I've painted his mittens cupboard blue and his boots coal black, and he's also nice'n'grubby! He's also 25" tall and, like his brother, has a hanging loop on his back.

![]() Cupid Heart Pillow - $38 This wonderful little Cupid Heart Pillow is my latest creation! Cupid is made of grubby stained muslin, and her wings are made from antique cotton quilt batting. Cupid's skirt is a scrap of grubby gauze and she carries the key to her (or your!) heart around her waist. Cupid is tied (with just a couple of stitches) to a grubby painted osnaburg heart pillow -- my thought is that Cupid might make a nice ornament or who knows?! Cupid is about 8.5" tall and the heart pillow is about 12" long by 7" wide. Unfortunately, this doll got a little "ouchie" when I was tying her to the pillow; apparently the tension of pulling her tight against the pillow caused the seam to pop in her upper thigh. I have dabbed fraycheck on the ouchie and she should be just fine, but I've reduced the price anyway (she was $48). |
